Why we startup

Improving quality of life

One of our existential goals as a species is to make our lives easier and more fulfilling. Innovation, which is the act of identifying new methods, technologies, or processes, to solve a certain problem, is seen as instrumental in achieving this goal.

Paradoxically, innovation has a long history of solving certain problems while creating other ones that are potentially bigger, and more disruptive to the rest of the planet in the long term. There are always small groups of people with a common mind set, who are ready to take a chance, to solve problems that we, as a species, are facing, or to steady the imbalance created by previous innovations.

As you can see, this is a continuous cycle, where careful thought must go into the immediate solution, as well as its long term impact, without which our efforts to innovate can implode. But someone, somewhere, has to start. And that, in my opinion, is why we startup.
